Raw Material Discharging

Raw Material Transport, Discharging & Site Transportation

The Raw Sugar shall be acquired abroad, in some Sugar producer Country.

The normal way to transport this amount of sugar is by Ship, as bulk.

The normal capacity for those Ships is around 20.000 ton, per cargo.

So the Project shall estimate a Reception Unit to receive a cargo with 20.000 ton and discharge it to transport to the Refinery site.

Depending of the Refinery distance from the Port the quantity of Trucks can be estimated.

Trucks to transport Sugar shall have a special ‘carroceria’ in order to avoid sugar loss. Also it must be  cleaned before start to receive sugar to avoid the contamination with corn, soya, sand, fertilizer or others materials. Remember that every one contaminant will reduce the productivity and increase the Refining Costs.
